Ukrzaliznytsia Train Schedules Disrupted

According to Espreso.tv: Following infrastructure damage and necessary stops for passenger evacuations, Ukrzaliznytsia trains are experiencing significant delays. The largest disruptions have been recorded on several routes due to a large-scale Russian attack on Ukraine that took place on June 15. This context is crucial for understanding the ongoing challenges to rail travel amid the war.

In Kyiv, the assault left four people dead, while a second strike in Kharkiv killed five rescue workers. Casualties were also reported in the Kyiv, Dnipro, and Kharkiv regions. Notably, a direct hit on the Kyiv Pechersk Lavra sparked a massive fire in the capital.

Route-Specific Delays

Train delays are as follows:

  • Route 53/54 Odesa-Dnipro: +3 hours 50 minutes,
  • Route 75/76 Kryvyi Rih-Kyiv: +3 hours 30 minutes,
  • Route 21/22 Kharkiv-Lviv: +3 hours 30 minutes,
  • Route 65/66 Kyiv-Sumy: +3 hours 30 minutes,
  • Route 7/8 Odesa-Kharkiv: +3 hours,
  • Route 39/40 Zaporizhzhia-Solotvyno: +3 hours 40 minutes,
  • Route 45/46 Kharkiv-Uzhhorod: +3 hours 30 minutes,
  • Route 21/22 Lviv-Kharkiv: +3 hours 15 minutes.

Long-distance train services between cities remain operational, including routes to and from Dnipro. Ukrzaliznytsia urges passengers to monitor further announcements at stations and onboard, as delay times may still change.

This situation underscores the critical importance of passenger safety during wartime in Ukraine. Train delays complicate civilian movement, especially under emergency conditions. Ukrzaliznytsia continues to respond swiftly to challenges, but travelers should prepare for possible schedule adjustments.
