According to UATV: On June 2, 2023, Ukraine experienced a series of large-scale Russian strikes that caused significant casualties and damage across multiple regions. The hardest-hit areas were Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, and Kharkiv oblasts. In the city of Sumy, the attack injured three people, while across the Sumy region over the course of the day, nine individuals—including one child—suffered harm from shelling.
In Khmelnytskyi region, drone strikes sparked fires at four separate locations. Kharkiv region also came under fire, with a critical facility belonging to the company 'Naftogaz' being targeted. Additionally, reports indicate that an attack on Dnipro claimed six lives, while in Kyiv, up to 66 people were recorded as injured.

Serhiy Koretsky, commenting on the events, stated: 'This is a deliberate tactic of terror.'
