Large-Scale Missile and Drone Attack Hits Ukraine

According to Espreso.tv: In the early hours of June 2, enemy forces launched a massive combined missile and drone strike against Ukraine, resulting in fatalities and injuries. The assault spanned from 6:00 PM on June 1 through June 2, with the primary target being Kyiv. Additional strikes hit Dnipro, Kharkiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava region, and other areas across the country.

Authorities recorded a total of 729 aerial attack assets, including:

  • 73 missiles
  • 656 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs)

The missile types included:

  • 8 3M22 'Zircon' anti-ship missiles
  • 33 Iskander-M ballistic missiles
  • 27 Kh-101 cruise missiles
  • 5 'Kalibr' cruise missiles

Additionally, 656 attack drones were identified, including models such as Shahed, Gerbera, Italmas, 'Banderol', and 'Parody'.

As of 8:30 AM, Ukraine’s air defense forces had intercepted 642 targets, comprising:

  • 40 missiles
  • 602 drones

However, 30 ballistic missiles, 3 cruise missiles, and 33 attack drones hit 38 separate locations. This assault ranks among the most severe in recent months, sparking widespread alarm among civilians and underscoring the escalating threat.
