Explosion at a café in Madrid: 21 injured, three in serious condition.
Explosion in Madrid
According to The Sun: As a result of the explosion at a bar in Madrid, at least 21 people were injured, three of them critically.
Shocking footage shows Spanish rescuers clearing the rubble left after the blast, among scattered bricks and glass across the street.
The tragic event occurred on Saturday afternoon in the Vallecas area, as reported by emergency services on Twitter.
They also posted photos of the partially collapsed ceiling of the bar, where debris was littered on the ground.
Emergency services urgently arrived at the scene following the explosion, which blew out doors and collapsed walls.
According to medical services, 21 people were treated, three of them in 'serious' condition, two in 'possibly serious' condition.
Search dogs and drones were involved in the operations.
“18 units of Bomberos Madrid continue to work on removing debris,”
“Their canine unit is joining.”
This situation recalls a similar disaster in the Spanish capital in June 2021.
At that time, a powerful explosion destroyed a seven-story building used by priests, turning the street into a war zone.
As a result of that explosion, four people died, and debris was scattered across the entire street.

This incident came after a gas explosion in a bar in southern Spain in June, which killed a British expatriate along with two women.
Another 15 people were injured during the butane gas explosion at Casa Javi bar in San Pedro del Pinatar, Murcia.
A 56-year-old expatriate living in Lo Pagán became a victim while visiting a weekly market.
In May, shocking footage was released showing a large pipe bursting near the balconies of British tourists.
Dramatic video captured large streams of water flowing to the shore from a cracked underground pipe in Benalmádena.
Madrid continues to face similar incidents, highlighting the need for greater safety and maintenance oversight of buildings. Explosions like this raise serious concerns about citizen safety and the need for inspection of gas supply systems in all public establishments.
This situation once again emphasizes the importance of adhering to safety regulations in construction and maintenance of technical systems, which is crucial to preventing similar tragedies in the future.
