The Ministry of Health of Ukraine conducted a large-scale check of decisions on establishing disability, which were made during martial law.

The checks were carried out in accordance with the decision of the NSDC and new legislation, reports Ukrainian News.

According to the agency, from September to November 2023, 53,734 cases of conscription-age men (18-60 years old) were checked, of which 781 cases were selected for additional review.

«The second wave of checks, covering the period of June 2024, focused on cases of men aged 25-50 with II and III group disability. Out of 37,891 cases checked, 543 required additional consideration.»

Based on the processing of more than 18,779 medico-expert cases, 3,146 dubious decisions of the MSEC were identified, which were sent for additional examination. As a result of the checks, 74 expert decisions were canceled: in 38 cases, the II group of disability was changed to III, and in 36 cases, the disability group was completely removed.

Currently, cooperation with law enforcement agencies continues regarding the investigation of possible violations.

In particular, an inspection of the activities of the Khmelnytsky Medical and Social Expert Commission is being conducted as part of a criminal proceeding.

These measures are part of the state's systematic work aimed at identifying and preventing abuses in the area of establishing disability during martial law.

Recall, earlier Zelensky urgently convened the NSDC due to scandals with mobilization and prosecutors.
