The mother of the Crimean Tatar political prisoner appealed to Erdogan to help free her son.
The mother of the Crimean Tatar political prisoner Appaz Kurtamet, Ayşe Kurtamet, appealed to the President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdoğan for help in freeing her son, who has been in Russian detention since 2022 on politically motivated charges. She published this appeal on her Facebook page.
«Dear President, I beg you to support me in the matter of freeing my innocent son. Let my son, like other innocent Crimean Tatar youths, not spend his youth in a Russian prison. Appaz's father, Khalil, was also arrested a year later and imprisoned on fabricated charges», - said Ayşe Kurtamet.
Ayşe recounted that Russian occupiers took their home, and she is now fighting for the freedom of her loved ones. She thanked Turkey for its assistance in previous exchanges and expressed hope that President Erdoğan would facilitate the release of her family.
