Italian Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni emphasized the inadmissibility of attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon during a phone conversation with Israeli leader Benjamin Netanyahu. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the Meloni's office.
In a statement by the Italian government, Meloni stressed the inadmissibility of attacks on UN peacekeepers in Lebanon by Israeli armed forces. She also called for the full implementation of the 2006 UN Security Council resolution concerning the cessation of the Israeli-Lebanese war and the de-escalation of the conflict.
