Zelensky responded when the new round of negotiations with the Russian Federation will take place.
The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky reported that the next stage of negotiations with representatives of Russia will take place in Turkey, in the city of Istanbul. The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, July 23.
The head of state had a conversation with the new secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, during which issues related to preparations for the exchange of prisoners and the organization of the next meeting with the Russian side were discussed.
'Umerov reported that the meeting is scheduled for Wednesday. More details will be available tomorrow,' said the president.
The Ukrainian side is considering the possibility of a personal meeting between Zelensky and Putin. Kiev is ready for such a format of negotiations if it contributes to achieving peace and ending the conflict.
According to Zelensky, one of the key topics of conversation in Istanbul will be the exchange of prisoners of war. In addition, discussions on other humanitarian and security issues that are important for Ukraine are expected.
The Ukrainian president announced the next meeting with Russia, which will take place in Turkey, and expressed readiness for a personal meeting with his Russian counterpart. The main issues of the negotiations will be related to the exchange of prisoners and other security topics aimed at achieving peace in the region.
