Less than 11 years of service: what payments Ukrainians can receive instead of a pension.
The press service of the Pension Fund of Ukraine reminded Ukrainians about the important conditions for receiving a pension. If your work experience is less than 11 years, do not count on a pension in 2025. However, having sufficient work experience will affect the size of the pension and the date of its receipt.
For example, to receive a pension at 60 years old, you need to have at least 32 years of service, at 63 years old – at least 22 years, and at 65 years old – at least 15 years. In the case of insufficient service for a pension, the state will provide social support, which is calculated according to a specific formula.
What payments are provided for insufficient service
According to the rules, in the absence of sufficient service for a pension, the state compensates the difference between the minimum living wage for people with disabilities and the average income of a family per person. This support amount cannot be less than the minimum living level. To receive these payments, one should contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine. The size of the payments is reviewed every six months, taking into account changes in the financial condition of citizens.
It is important to note that a new important verification has been launched in the Pension Fund of Ukraine, so it is crucial to monitor your service and timely confirm your right to receive a pension.
The Ukrainian Pension Fund reminded citizens about the conditions for receiving a pension, emphasizing the importance of having proper work experience for receiving social payments. Insufficient service may be compensated by the state according to a specific formula, but undoubtedly, it is better to independently take care of maintaining the necessary conditions for receiving a pension.
