According to Korrespondent.net: At the IAA Mobility 2025 exhibition in Munich, Mercedes-Benz officially introduced its new electric crossover GLC EQ, which will succeed the EQC model.

The design of the GLC EQ nearly retains the proportions of the gasoline version; however, the grille, bumpers, and lighting elements are unique here. In particular, the daytime running lights and rear lights reflect motifs of the starry sky.

The wheelbase of the model has been extended to 2972 mm (+80 mm compared to the ICE version), providing more interior space. The trunk volume is 570 liters, and an additional front trunk accommodates another 128 liters.

The interior features a 39.1-inch MBUX Hyperscreen that spans the entire width of the dashboard, as well as round ventilation deflectors with ambient lighting. The center console has two wireless charging stations and cup holders.

Technical Specifications

The base version is the GLC 400 4MATIC, which has a power output of 483 hp. The company plans to release four more modifications. All versions are equipped with a 94 kWh battery that allows for a range of up to 713 km according to the WLTP cycle. The car can be charged for 300 km in 10 minutes thanks to charging power of up to 330 kW.

The new GLC is electrified in the style of the S-Class; it features an Airmatic air suspension, rear-wheel steering system, and an electronic assistant that uses Google Maps data to adapt the suspension to road conditions in real-time.

Production of the GLC EQ will begin in the first half of 2026, and the price of the model will be announced closer to the start of sales.

It is worth noting that it was previously reported that Mercedes-Benz presented its first electric station wagon.
