Ukrainian Metallurgical Enterprises Increased Steel Production.
Ukrainian metallurgical enterprises produced 7.03 million tons of steel from January to November 2024. This is 23% more than the previous year. This information was provided by experts from 'Ukrmetallurgprom'.
Unfortunately, steel production shows a negative trend every month. In November, only 540.8 thousand tons of steel were produced, which is 10.4% less than in October.
Overall, the steel output in November this year was the second lowest. Only in February 2024 was the figure even lower. Steel production has been decreasing for six consecutive months.
Moreover, over the eleven months, Ukraine produced 6.52 million tons of pig iron, which is 19.8% more than last year. In November, pig iron production amounted to 542.9 thousand tons, which is 13.1% less than in October.
In total, the production of rolled products was 5.74 million tons since the beginning of the year, which is 18% more than in the first 11 months of 2023. In November, 477 thousand tons of rolled products were manufactured, which is 7.8% more than in October.
