According to Korrespondent.net: MG has introduced the new S6 EV crossover, which aims to compete with the Skoda Enyaq. This model is built on the Modular Scalable Platform and is an improved version of the S5 EV, focusing on practicality and space.

Structural Characteristics

In the UK, the car will be available in two powertrain options. The base Long Range model has rear-wheel drive, a 241 hp electric motor, and 350 Nm of torque, providing a range of about 530 km. The more powerful Dual Motor version is equipped with two electric motors, has all-wheel drive, 356 hp, and 539 Nm, with a range of 484 km. In normal modes, the all-wheel-drive version operates as rear-wheel drive, activating the front motor only when needed.

Battery and Charging

Both variants have a 77 kWh NMC battery that supports fast charging of up to 144 kW. Charging from 10% to 80% takes about 38 minutes.

Interior and Comfort

The car's interior features a 10.25-inch digital instrument panel and a 12.8-inch infotainment screen with support for wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The top Trophy trim also includes a head-up display.

Cargo Space

The trunk volume is 674 liters with the second-row seats folded down, and in cargo mode, it is 1910 liters. Additionally, there is a compartment under the hood with a volume of 124 liters.

Appearance and Aesthetics

The exterior of the MG S6 EV resembles the smaller S5 EV model, particularly due to the high daytime running lights and a two-tiered front, inspired by the MG Cyberster roadster. Active grilles and aerodynamic wheel covers, according to the manufacturer, add about 30 miles to the driving range.

Cost and Competition

The new model is positioned as a more affordable alternative to European electric crossovers with a starting price of £37995 in the UK market, which is lower than the minimum cost of the Skoda Enyaq (£39010). The Long Range Trophy version costs £40995, while the top Dual Motor Trophy is priced at £43995.

It is worth noting that MG has also introduced a new MGU9 pickup, highlighting their ambition to expand their model range.
