Trump on peace in Ukraine: The US is close to an agreement with Russia.
According to ТСН: The President of the United States Donald Trump expressed confidence in the possibility of reaching an agreement regarding the war in Ukraine during the traditional turkey pardon ceremony ahead of Thanksgiving Day, which took place in the Rose Garden of the White House.
"I think we are very close to an agreement, which we will learn more about... I believe we are making progress," Trump said.
The President also noted that the path to an agreement is difficult but achievable. "It's not easy, but I believe we will get there," he added.
Additionally, Trump reiterated his previously expressed thoughts on the need to stop several wars around the world. He emphasized that he hoped resolving the issue of Russian aggression in Ukraine would be easier than it turned out to be.
We remind that next week, Volodymyr Zelensky may arrive in Washington to discuss key points of the new conflict resolution plan with Donald Trump.
Trump's statements raise questions about further diplomatic efforts to isolate aggression and support peace. The expectation of a meeting with Zelensky indicates a willingness for negotiations that could influence the situation in Ukraine and the overall atmosphere in international relations.
