We are tripling military assistance': Norway approved a historic aid package for Ukraine.

The Norwegian government will increase financial support for Ukraine by 50 billion Norwegian kroner in 2025. The total amount of assistance will be 85 billion kroner, equivalent to approximately 7.8 billion US dollars.
Norway's Minister of Finance Jens Stoltenberg announced this after a government meeting on April 4.
'We are tripling military support,' emphasized Stoltenberg, adding that the funds would be used outside of Norway to avoid additional burdens on the country's domestic economy.
The Norwegian parliament also approved an increase in funding for assistance to Ukraine in early March. This decision complements the previously approved 'Nansen' program, which provides long-term support for Ukraine until 2027 amounting to 75 billion Norwegian kroner, or 15 billion kroner annually.
Furthermore, the Norwegian government proposed to increase the funding for the program to 135 billion euros and extend it until 2030.
