According to Novyny.live: On June 30, Ukraine and Sweden finalized a contract for the purchase of 16 Gripen E fighter aircraft. Swedish Prime Minister Ulf Kristersson has reaffirmed his country's commitment to helping Ukraine bolster its defense capacity.

Under the terms of the agreement, the first batch of Gripen jets is scheduled for delivery in late May 2026. The earlier-model Gripen C/D variants, which were part of previous arrangements, are expected to arrive in early 2027.
