This became possible after the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Fedorov from his position as the First Vice Prime Minister - Minister of Digital Transformation on January 13. 270 members of parliament voted for his dismissal.
On January 2, President Volodymyr Zelensky proposed Mykhailo Fedorov for the post of Minister of Defense. This proposal underscores the importance of implementing new technologies in the military sphere. Yegor Chernev, commenting on the potential changes, noted that
“this will focus on technological capabilities and the transition to new forms of warfare”. However, he also pointed out that
