Ukraine’s Defense Ministry Unveils New Payouts: $2,700 per Captured Russian Soldier and $400 for Eliminations.
New Financial Incentives for Troops
According to Novyny.live: Ukraine’s Ministry of Defense has announced a fresh set of financial rewards for its military personnel, including higher payments for commanders, bounties for capturing Russian soldiers, and bonuses for eliminating enemy forces. Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov stated that alongside these new monetary perks, a streamlined transfer process for servicemen has been introduced, aimed at improving troop mobility and adaptability in combat zones.
Key Changes
A central innovation is the launch of the Mission Control system, which will track how long soldiers spend on the front lines. This initiative is designed to enhance accountability and ensure greater transparency in resource allocation.
'We are simultaneously introducing 100,000 hryvnias for each prisoner taken,' said Defense Minister Mykhailo Fedorov.
Additionally, a bonus of 15,000 hryvnias is now available for confirmed enemy kills backed by video evidence.
'For destroying the enemy with camera footage, we now have a program for infantry as well. If there’s video proof, that’s an extra 15,000 hryvnias,' Fedorov added. The ministry also plans to roll out the 'eHealth' program for soldiers’ children, offering payments exceeding 17,000 hryvnias.
As part of broader reforms, discussions are underway to raise minimum military pay to over 30,000 hryvnias. These measures are designed to support troops and their families—a critical need amid the ongoing war. The Ministry of Defense continues to work on improving service conditions and ensuring social protections for military personnel.
The introduction of these financial incentives and support programs is a key element of Ukraine’s defense strategy, aimed at boosting troop morale and readiness for combat operations. The Mission Control system could significantly improve resource management and oversight of front-line deployments, which is vital during active hostilities. These steps are also expected to strengthen social safety nets for military families, enhancing their security and well-being during a challenging period for the country.
