The Ministry received 569 applications from women for training in logistics: who prevails

According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Communities and Territories Development of Ukraine together with partners summed up the results of the selection for the project. As reported by the ministry, 569 application forms were sent by women from different parts of Ukraine.

'This project is about new opportunities for Ukrainian women. Logistics today requires qualified personnel, and we see great interest among those who are ready to learn, change professions, and join in rebuilding the economy. This is another step towards women having equal access to jobs and being able to realize themselves in the modern transport industry,' emphasized Deputy Minister of Communities and Territories Development Serhiy Derkach.

The most applications were submitted for the training program 'Female Manager of Foreign Economic Activity' - 517 applications. The top 5 regions by number of applications are as follows: Dnipropetrovsk region - 70 (13.54%); Kyiv - 69 (13.35%); Kyiv region - 68 (13.15%); Lviv region - 39 (7.54%); Kharkiv region - 38 (7.35%).

Statistics by Age and Experience

Women aged 40-49 submitted the most applications - 213. It is also worth noting that 251 participants already have more than a year of work experience in the logistics field. Approximately 43% of the submitted applications represent women who are temporarily unemployed.

For the training program 'Female Forklift Driver', 52 applications were received. The top 5 regions by number of applications consist of Dnipropetrovsk, Kyiv, Lviv, Kyiv, and Zaporizhzhia regions. The most active in submitting applications turned out to be middle-aged women from industrial and developed regions of Ukraine.

The project 'Engaging Women in Professions in the Logistics Sector' aims to create new opportunities for women in this field and ensure equal access to professional opportunities.

Now, as Ukraine faces new challenges, initiatives aimed at supporting women in professions that are traditionally considered male are becoming particularly important. This not only contributes to the development of the economy but also helps create a society where everyone has equal chances of success in their careers, regardless of gender.
