The Ministry of Justice urges property owners to register: what will happen without it.
Call from the Ministry of Justice to property owners
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Justice is urging property owners to register their property. The authorities emphasize that individuals who own real estate with rights registered before 2013 must submit information about their holdings to the State Register of Property Rights. This registration is extremely important for protecting property in wartime and for obtaining compensation.
Many Ukrainians who received property based on documents before 2013 believe that paper certificates are sufficient. However, the lack of information in the electronic register can create serious risks, including raiding, loss of property, and fraudulent schemes.
Registering property will help avoid problems when selling, gifting, or inheriting, as well as ensure the possibility of receiving compensation under the 'eRecovery' program. It will also serve as a safeguard against fraud and simplify the resolution of legal disputes. The process is voluntary and free of charge, so every owner has the chance to protect their property through registration.
Given the current challenges faced by property owners in Ukraine, property registration is becoming particularly relevant. It is not only protection but also an important step in organizing property rights, which can help prevent future misunderstandings and conflicts.
