The Minister of Finance predicted how long Ukraine can fight without US assistance.
The Minister of Finance of Ukraine, Serhiy Marchenko, emphasized that without support from the US, Ukraine can continue to fight for at least until the first half of 2025. He stated this in an interview with El Pais.
Marchenko pointed out that the cessation of assistance from the US could pose a significant challenge for Ukraine, but Kyiv has a plan to create the necessary conditions for cooperation with the new administration. He believes that Ukraine should strive to build trust for cooperation and negotiate with the new governments.
Marchenko also stated that Ukraine has sufficient funds, weapons, and ammunition to counter aggression for at least until the first half of 2025. He emphasized that currently Ukraine is receiving the necessary weaponry from the US and should wisely use this time for negotiations with its allies in the US.
