The Ministry of Defense codified over 100 new samples of weapons in a month.
Over 100 new samples of weapons and military equipment were received by the Armed Forces of Ukraine during February 2025. Of these, more than 90 percent were produced in Ukraine, reports the Ministry of Defense.
This is a significant increase compared to the previous year, when only about 60 samples were codified. A third of these new samples are also of Ukrainian production.
Among the new samples are unmanned aerial complexes, electronic warfare systems, automotive equipment, and more.
Since the beginning of the year, more than 10 new unmanned aerial complexes with fiber-optic control channels have also been codified and put into operation.
“Innovative weapons samples are quickly changing the landscape of war. Aerial drones provide reconnaissance, battlefield monitoring, as well as the targeting of enemy objectives. Currently, drones costing only $500 can destroy enemy equipment worth tens or even hundreds of thousands of dollars. To effectively counter a strong aggressor country, we need to be leaders in developing new means of warfare. Ukrainian drones, electronic warfare systems, and reconnaissance should surpass enemy samples in terms of characteristics. This is about increasing lethality and effectiveness of use,” explained Deputy Minister of Defense Valeriy Churkin.
