The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has signed an agreement with the German company Diehl Defence, which manufactures the IRIS-T system, to triple the supply of air defense systems and missiles.
Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced that a memorandum of understanding has been signed with Diehl Defence – the manufacturer of the IRIS-T system, which is an important element of Ukraine's air defense shield. He emphasized that protecting the sky and cities is the country's priority. The agreement paves the way for major industrial projects that will help enhance the capabilities of Ukraine's air defense.
According to Umerov, the memorandum entails a threefold increase in the supply of missiles and air defense systems.
Thank you Diehl Defence for your trust and willingness to cooperate. It is important that leading global defense companies are taking steps towards Ukraine. The free world is on our side, and together we are opening new opportunities for strengthening defense. We continue to develop the Ukrainian defense industry and integrate it into the European ecosystem.
