The Ministry of Defense launched a weapon marketplace: drones to the front in 10 days.
New weapon marketplace for the Armed Forces of Ukraine
According to inkorr.com: The Ministry of Defense of Ukraine has launched an innovative marketplace that allows military units to independently order the necessary equipment for the front, significantly reducing bureaucratic delays. Thanks to this initiative, the delivery times for drones to the front have been reduced from several months to just a few days.
According to Defense Minister Denys Shmyhal, military personnel have already placed over 17,000 orders for drones worth nearly UAH 600 million on the marketplace. They have received over 13,000 units of equipment worth UAH 443 million. Now, the average delivery time is just 10 days, with the fastest delivery taking only 5 days.
Plans to expand functionality
The Ministry plans to expand the marketplace for all units of the Armed Forces and add the ability to modify drones according to specific combat tasks. The ambitious goal is to achieve 70% supply of unmanned aerial vehicles through DOT-Chain Defence within the next 6 months.
Thus, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense aims to enhance its supplies to the front, providing military units with everything they need to carry out combat missions through a new equipment ordering system.
The new system aims to significantly improve logistics and delivery timeliness, which is critically important in wartime. The swift ordering of drones and their modification to meet specific needs will allow the military to better respond to changes at the front and increase the effectiveness of mission execution.
