The US Department of Justice restored Trump's photo in the Epstein case archive: why it was temporarily removed.
According to ТСН: The US Department of Justice has returned a photograph from the archive of the Jeffrey Epstein case to its website, featuring US President Donald Trump. This image had previously temporarily disappeared from the online database.
According to CNN.
The photograph shows a drawer of a desk with several images, including a portrait of Donald Trump, Epstein's associate Ghislaine Maxwell, and other individuals. The image was released late on Friday as part of a large publication of documents from the US Department of Justice related to the Epstein case.
However, on Saturday the photo vanished from the website. On Sunday, the Department of Justice explained on social media platform X that the image was temporarily removed for verification of the need for additional edits to protect potential victims.
“The Southern District of New York raised concerns about the image of President Trump for potential further actions to protect the victims. Out of an abundance of caution, the Department of Justice temporarily removed the photo for additional review,” the statement said.
After the review was completed, the agency concluded that the photograph does not show Epstein's victims. Therefore, the image was republished unchanged or uncensored.
It is worth noting that a law has been enacted in the US for the complete declassification of the 'Epstein case', and the US Congress voted for the release of the relevant documents. These events indicate the continuation of the investigation and the importance of maintaining transparency in matters that raise public interest.
