Manchester United fan hasn't cut his hair for a year due to team's failures: what are the consequences.
Manchester United fan hasn't cut his hair for almost a year
According to The Sun: A Manchester United fan hasn’t cut his hair for almost a year, as the team hasn’t won five matches in a row.
Frank Illett, 29, has been growing out his afro, pledging last October not to groom his hair until the team secures victory in at least five consecutive matches.
InstagramFrank posts videos daily about his continuously growing hair and admits that he didn't expect it to “grow this much.”
Head coach Ruben Amorim led United to a 2-1 victory over Chelsea last Saturday at Old Trafford, where one fan pulled on Frank's hair.
This victory gave him hope for a haircut this year.
Frank, who is originally from Oxford but now lives in Spain, said: “It’s been a completely crazy journey — I never thought my hair or my followers would grow this large.”
“I hope that maybe by the end of the year I’ll be able to get my hair cut.”
“An ideal ending would be if one of the players cut my hair at Old Trafford.”
After the victory over Chelsea, Frank wrote: “Big win today!
“What a crazy game in the end! 1 win — 4 more to go. GO UNITED!”

Frank's story stands as a vivid example of how a passion for sports can turn an ordinary day into an unforgettable journey. His loyalty to the club and unexpected challenge with his hair have captured the attention not only of the team's fans, but also of a wider audience on social media. Now, it remains to be seen whether Manchester United can prove their strength and give Frank the haircut he desires. Read also
