Part-time students will not be granted deferment from mobilization: lawyer's explanation.
Students of Ukrainian universities have the right to deferment from mobilization. However, this does not apply to part-time students.
Lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan wrote about this on the 'Lawyers.UA' portal.
Will students be mobilized
A citizen who is obtaining higher education in a part-time format contacted lawyers.
The man inquired whether he could be mobilized upon reaching the age of 25.
In his response, lawyer Yuriy Ayvazyan emphasized that he could be mobilized.
Who in universities is not entitled to deferment
The lawyer explained why part-time students can be called to the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
Only those students who study in full-time or dual-format have the right to deferment
The dual format is a face-to-face and distance learning format, meaning that the student must still be present at classes in the university.
We remind you, we previously wrote about what two types of documents students need to obtain a deferment from mobilization.
Additionally, we reported on which students may lose their deferment in the near future.
The right to deferment from mobilization for students of Ukrainian universities applies only to those studying in full-time or dual formats. Part-time students can be called to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, so they should be vigilant and timely address the issue of deferment.Read also
