Across the country, overnight lows will range from -6 to -12°C, dropping to -14°C in the north. Southern regions will see milder conditions, with temperatures between 0 and -3°C. Daytime highs will be -2 to -5°C for most, though southern areas will warm to +1 to +6°C.

Snow is expected in central and eastern Ukraine, while other areas will see little precipitation. In Kyiv, temperatures will drop to -10°C overnight and reach -2°C during the day. Meteorologists warn that the next four days will remain quite frosty across the nation.

“The next four days in Ukraine will be quite frosty. However, a significant warming is expected from February 23,” - Natalia Ptukha.

Forecasters also note that the nights of Saturday and Sunday could be even colder, with temperatures potentially falling to -12...-15°C. A substantial warm-up is anticipated across most of Ukraine starting February 23.

This cold snap, typical for late February, may impact energy infrastructure and transport. The freezing nights are likely to increase heating demand, straining the power grid, and could complicate road conditions. The expected warming later in the week should ease this pressure and improve the situation. Nevertheless, caution is advised during the frosty period, especially with possible snowfall in central and eastern regions.
