According to UATV: Artillery crews from the 34th Separate Marine Brigade are actively engaging Russian positions in the Kherson sector. They target enemy infantry, mortars, and fortifications, using advanced technology to adjust their fire and coordinate strikes.

Division Commander and Volunteers on the Frontline

Serhiy, a 26-year-old commander of an artillery division, joined the Armed Forces of Ukraine right after finishing military school. He explains that drones are essential for identifying target coordinates:

“A drone flies out and scans the area to see where the Russians are moving and what they’re doing. It gives a much clearer picture of the target. Then we get those coordinates on a tablet and send them to the firing position. We calculate everything here, set the parameters, and pass them to the gunner. He aims and opens fire,” Serhiy says.

Among the marines in this brigade are volunteers who enlisted in 2022. One of them, a marine with the call sign 'Montana,' mentions that his son was born just ten days into his service. Another volunteer, 'Vytos,' who originally comes from Kherson, joined the brigade after witnessing the horrors of the occupation firsthand.

“I lived through the occupation here and saw what they were doing. After it ended, I tried several times to join. Eventually, I went to a recruitment center, submitted my application, passed the medical board, and got assigned to our 34th Brigade,” 'Vytos' says.

The artillery division places a strong emphasis on crew coordination and teamwork.

“In our crew, everyone has each other’s back. That’s the result of cohesion. We spent a long time selecting our crew members and insisted on keeping this group together,” 'Vytos' adds.

Through these efforts, Ukrainian artillery units from the 34th Separate Marine Brigade continue to carry out critical combat missions, showcasing both professionalism and dedication.
