Russia’s Combat Losses Top 1.44 Million After 231 Engagements in a Single Day.
Frontline Update
According to UATV: The latest update from Ukraine’s military command details a high level of combat activity across multiple front sectors. On July 26, Ukraine’s defense forces engaged in 231 combat clashes, inflicting heavy casualties on Russian troops. Over the past 24 hours, Ukrainian units eliminated 1,440 Russian personnel, bringing the total Russian military losses since the full-scale invasion began to more than 1,438,000.
Ukrainian Strikes Prove Effective
During these operations, Ukrainian forces demonstrated the effectiveness of their attacks, destroying nine Russian tanks, eight armored combat vehicles, 70 artillery systems, and one multiple launch rocket system. Additionally, 456 units of enemy automotive and special equipment were taken out.
In the Lyman direction, Russian occupiers attempted to push Ukrainian units from their positions near Novoselovka, Drobyshevo, Stavky, Dibrova, and Ozerne. Meanwhile, on the Pokrovsk sector, Russian forces tried to dislodge the Ukrainian Armed Forces from positions near Shevchenko, Pavlivka, Kotlyne, Novohryshyne, Novooleksandrivka, and Udachne. Artillery from the 147th Separate Brigade of the 7th Rapid Response Corps also eliminated Russian soldiers during a coordinated attack.
“In the Aleksandrovsky direction, the Ukrainian Defense Forces have achieved serious successes — about 150 square kilometers have been deoccupied, and tactical initiative belongs to our defenders. These are unprecedented gains for the Ukrainian Armed Forces.”
Dmytro Snegiryov
Supporting this, former head of Ukraine’s Foreign Intelligence Service, Mykola Malomuzh, emphasized: “We are counterattacking along several directions, creating zones of tight control in front of the frontline and in the enemy’s rear. This is a very effective model. It allows us to systematically hold the front, and the enemy suffers up to 1,500 losses every day.”
The current front-line situation highlights the activity of Ukrainian forces in resisting Russian troops. Notably, the successes in the Aleksandrovsky direction, where a significant area was liberated, demonstrate the tactical initiative held by the Ukrainian Armed Forces. At the same time, heavy enemy losses underscore the effectiveness of Ukrainian attacks, a crucial factor for the ongoing fighting. These developments may influence the overall strategic situation on the front and pave the way for new phases in the conflict.
