For shopping convenience, the supermarket is also changing product placement in stores.

A key element of the relaunch will be The Best Signature Collection.

This premium line will be part of the The Best range from Morrisons.

As the supermarket notes, it emphasizes craftsmanship and offers exquisite flavors through innovative recipes.

Customers will recognize the new collection by its bright gold packaging.

Morrisons is also partnering with Harry Ramsden’s to bring favorite British fish and chips dishes home.

From September 17, shoppers can take advantage of an exclusive 'meal for £10' offer, which includes a main dish and two sides, allowing savings of up to 23% compared to purchasing them separately.

The collection features classic Harry Ramsden’s dishes like battered fish fillets, thick fish fingers, meat pies, mushy peas, curry, and gravy sauce.

The aim is to recreate the authentic chip shop experience right at home.

What else is happening at Morrisons?

Last year, Morrisons cut over 3,600 jobs and closed 17 stores as part of a major reorganization.

The number of employees at the supermarket decreased from 104,819 to 101,144 over the year preceding October 27, 2024.

The majority of the cuts took place in stores, the head office, and in production and distribution units.

Among the reasons for closing 17 stores across the UK is changing market conditions. The last store in Hackney, North Yorkshire, closed on May 14.

Another 16 stores were closed in April.

Additionally, the supermarket closed over 50 of its cafes and 35 meat and fish counters earlier this year, citing rising financial pressure.

Instead, the company plans to invest in technology by introducing new “Tally” robots, which will help customers find products on shelves and improve inventory management.

Despite this, the business returned to profitability for the first time since 2021 when the chain was acquired by the American investment fund Clayton Dubilier & Rice (CD&R).

Morrisons reported a pre-tax profit of £2.1 billion for the year ending October 27, 2024, recovering from losses of £919 million in 2023 and £1.3 billion in 2022, according to new data published by Companies House.
