According to The Sun: In Tarsus, Turkey, a terrible tragedy occurred - a mother died after falling seven stories while trying to escape as her husband unsuccessfully attempted to help her.
Pelin Yasot Kiyga got stuck in the lift when it suddenly stopped, leading to the disaster.

Surveillance cameras recorded how the lift first stopped and then plummeted to the ground from seven floors up.
Pelin contacted her husband Gokhan when the lift got stuck. CCTV footage shows Gokhan attempting to resolve the issue while communicating with her over the phone.
He, along with two other men, tried to open the lift doors. After pressing a button to open them, a loud crash was heard, and they rushed to help.
“I tried to pull her out of the lift until the last moment,” recalls Gokhan.
Unfortunately, he was unable to get inside, and he was forced to run down the stairs. In his haste, he injured his leg while trying to save Pelin.
Emergency services response
The incident took place in an 11-story building, and emergency services quickly arrived on the scene, attempting to save Pelin. However, unfortunately, her injuries proved too severe, and she died in the hospital.
Police and paramedics arrived at the scene of the tragedy. An investigation into the cause of the lift's fall has begun, and 17 witnesses have been questioned.
Law enforcement detained three individuals, including a former manager and the current manager of the company that serviced the lift.
Meanwhile, residents of the building reported in a WhatsApp group that the lift had not been functioning properly for a month prior to the tragedy.
