MIA introduces total control over driving license exams: what will change.

The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine is introducing new measures to eliminate corruption during the passing of exams for obtaining a driving license.
Starting June 1, 2023, a pilot project has begun to ensure the transparency of driving license exams in Lviv, Odesa, Vinnytsia, and Kyiv regions.
The key changes concern the theoretical and practical parts of the exam. For theoretical exams, video surveillance with four cameras and a microphone has been introduced to avoid "blind spots".
Surveillance with four cameras and a microphone has been introduced, which, according to the MIA's assurances, should eliminate "blind spots".
In the practical part of the exam for category B (passenger cars), video surveillance is now conducted at 360 degrees, allowing the recording of the candidate's and examiner's hands and feet.
Audio recording of conversations in the car cabin has also been introduced.
Video from the cameras on the exam cars is automatically uploaded to the server, which eliminates the examiner's influence on the results.
These changes are aimed at combating corruption in the area of driver's license issuance.
Previously, conditions in MIA service centers allowed exams to be passed "for money" as there was a lack of control measures.
The changes are part of the reform of the driver's license acquisition system. Restrictions on attempts to pass the practical exam have been lifted, and self-study of the theory is allowed.
The new rules are aimed at making the process of obtaining a driver's license more transparent and fair for all candidates.
