Ballet master and choreographer Viktor Voynikov killed in the war.
During a combat mission in the war, ballet artist, choreographer, and ballet master Viktor Voynikov was killed. His death is linked to his service in the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where he was mobilized in 2023. Viktor dedicated his life to the development of dance art.
For over 20 years, he worked on the development of dance art, and his incredible energy and professional skills captivated colleagues and audiences. Viktor was the artistic director of the Equator Dance Theater at the regional philharmonic center and also the head of the regional branch of the National Choreographic Union of Ukraine.
This loss greatly affects the Ukrainian choreographic community, but we must honor the memory of Viktor Voynikov and his contribution to the development of dance in Ukraine. May he always live on in the hearts of those who knew him and in the unforgettable productions he created.
Viktor leaves behind his wife Larysa and daughter Angelina. Their loss is indescribably great.
The loss of Viktor Voynikov is hard to accept, but he has become a hero who dedicated his life to Ukraine and defended its values. May his memory live on forever.
