A cunning scheme for smuggling evaders abroad was uncovered in Transcarpathia.
A scheme for smuggling evaders across the border has been discovered in Transcarpathia. This was reported by the State Border Guard Service.
Border guards detained a 63-year-old resident of Transcarpathia who was attempting to illegally transport eight men across the border. The driver claimed he was only transporting vegetables, but upon inspecting the minibus, an additional wall was found, behind which the passengers were hiding. Among them were residents of Kherson, Zhytomyr, Kyiv, Transcarpathia, and Lviv regions, who intended to illegally enter Hungary.
The detainees were delivered to the border unit, and criminal proceedings have been initiated regarding this event.
It was previously reported that the Ministry of Internal Affairs approved a mechanism for revoking the driver's licenses of evaders from mobilization.
