Naftogaz announces gas tariffs for summer: how much Ukrainians will pay per cubic meter from June 1.

The gas tariff for Ukrainians will remain unchanged until 2026
The company 'Naftogaz of Ukraine' decided to extend the 'Fixed' tariff plan for the population for another year. This means that household consumers will pay 7.96 hryvnias per cubic meter of gas throughout May, June, and the following months.
'Naftogaz supplies gas to 12.5 million households. The current tariff offer has been extended until April 30, 2026, due to a ban on increasing gas prices,' the company noted.
Despite this, there is a possibility of limiting gas supplies during the winter period. However, 'Naftogaz' is doing everything possible to avoid such a scenario. Natalia Boyko stated that the company does not plan to suspend gas supplies, as this process is more complicated than electricity supply.
'Very many scenarios have been outlined, some of them envisage pragmatic strict measures, including those regarding consumption restrictions. Although, in my opinion, we will not allow this,' Boyko explained.
It should be noted that many decisions will depend on the consequences of Russian attacks, as acknowledged by the deputy head of the supervisory board of 'Naftogaz'.
The expert also emphasized why monopolists have an advantage over consumers. He pointed out the importance of developing alternative energy sources and increasing energy efficiency in Ukraine.
