Which specialists in the agricultural sector received the highest salary increases

The study covered 14 largest agribusinesses in Ukraine with a land bank of about 2 million hectares and over 65 thousand employees. The results show that the agronomic service has the highest income growth rates among key categories of workers.

The structure of salary increases looks as follows:

  • Elevator staff: approaches vary from moderate indexations to no changes

Salary growth in livestock farming in Ukraine

In livestock farming, the situation is uneven. Among the 55% of companies participating in the study that are engaged in livestock farming, the highest income growth was found in dairy and meat cattle farming - on average by 15-20%. Meanwhile, there were virtually no changes in pig farming.

How the salaries of mechanizers and agricultural machinery drivers improved

Among workers on a mixed payment system, mechanizers received the highest increases - mainly over 25%. Drivers received increases of up to 20%, while elevator workers received increases of up to 15%. Piece rates for mechanizers and drivers increased by 10-20%, for elevator staff - up to 15%.

Most market participants raised salaries from April 2025. The main reasons for this were the need to adapt payments to market standards, increased competition for staff, inflation expectations, and better financial results of the season compared to forecasts.

Thus, the salary increases in the agricultural sector indicate active industry development, which has been able to successfully adapt to market conditions. These changes positively impact employee motivation and the overall stability of the sector, which is important in the context of the current economic situation in Ukraine.
