Poland is seeking new sources of funding for its military program as the United States plans to significantly reduce foreign aid. The country is considering obtaining loans from South Korea and the European Union as an alternative to the American FMF program.
- The minimum FMF funding will be only 8 billion dollars, compared to 16 billion in 2025.
- Poland, which previously relied on American financing for arms purchases, is now looking for alternatives.
- Among the alternative sources of funding are the loan programs of South Korea and the European Union.
- However, there is a likelihood that the budget project may be changed further.
In light of the US intentions to reduce military assistance to European allies, it is important for Poland to find alternative sources of funding for its defense sector.
