Ukraine imported 7,000 electric vehicles in July: Tesla leads the ranking.
In July 2025, the Ukrainian vehicle fleet was replenished with over 7,000 battery electric vehicles (BEVs), representing a 47% increase compared to the same period last year. The top two spots in the ranking of imported used electric vehicles were occupied by Tesla models.
The most popular electric vehicles in Ukraine
According to the Telegram channel 'UkrAvtoprom', most of the sold electric vehicles consisted of passenger cars, with a total of 6,849 units imported. Only 1,587 of them were new, while the rest were used. The leaders among imported used vehicles were:
- Tesla Model Y - 733 units;
- Tesla Model 3 - 567 units;
- Nissan Leaf - 522 units;
- Kia Niro EV - 265 units;
- Hyundai Kona Electric - 226 units.
Among new electric vehicles, the highest demand was for the BYD Song Plus EV (384 units), as well as the Honda eNS1 (206 units), Volkswagen ID.UNYX (131 units), Zeekr 7X (104 units), and Audi Q4 e-tron (89 units).
How much Tesla models cost
The prices for Tesla electric vehicles vary depending on the condition and mileage. For example, a new 2023 Tesla Model Y costs about $40,000, while a used version starts at $21,000. The 2023 Tesla Model 3 is offered at $40,000, while the used model can be purchased for $21,000.
During a divorce, the vehicle can be distributed by agreement or through the court, as it is considered indivisible property. Usually, it is left to one of the spouses as compensation or sold.
It has also been noted that the global market for driverless taxis is estimated at approximately $3 billion in 2025 and is expected to grow more than 15 times over the next five years. Such technology may appear in Ukraine within 3-5 years.
Data on the growing popularity of electric vehicles in Ukraine has been submitted, especially regarding Tesla models, which took the top two spots in the ranking of imported used electric vehicles.
