Reducing the fine for not specifying military registration data to 8500 UAH

A group of MPs in the Verkhovna Rada has introduced a bill proposing to reduce the fine for not specifying military registration data to 8500 UAH, reports the "Judicial-Legal Newspaper". The bill arises from the problem that over 6 million liable citizens failed to update their data through TSNAP, Reserve+, or in the SIT within 60 days after the announcement of mobilization.

The legislative initiative proposes that people who have not updated their data independently contact the SIT and pay a fine of 50% of the minimum defined amount - 8500 UAH. The procedure itself can be completed through the Electronic Cabinet of the liable serviceman. Deputies believe that this will encourage people to submit their data to the Military Registry and help the state budget. Also, this will simplify the procedure for reviewing administrative offenses. The bill provides for amendments to the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses, in particular, adding new articles 279-9 and 300-3, which will regulate the procedure for reviewing cases and executing resolutions on imposing fines in cases of voluntary appeal. According to the "Judicial-Legal Newspaper", funds received from SIT fines are not separately accounted for, although a total of 2.6 billion UAH has been received from administrative fines and other sanctions in the budget.
