NABU revealed the scheme of MP Skorokhod: how parliamentary inquiries worked for corruption

According to ТСН: People's deputy Hanna Skorokhod, suspected of extorting a bribe of $250,000, has found herself at the center of a scandal involving the 'Mindycha tapes,' which shed light on corruption schemes in the Ukrainian energy sector.

Former head of the board of 'Ukrenergo' Volodymyr Kudrytskyi revealed that in the published recordings, there is a moment where ex-MP Derkach's assistant Ihor Myroniuk, under the pseudonym 'Rocket', talks about the intention to instruct Hanna Skorokhod to carry out certain parliamentary inquiries.

“I can attest that the deputy periodically bombarded the management of 'Ukrenergo' with her inquiries, and the company's responses almost instantly ended up on the Telegram dumps of the President's Office,” Kudrytskyi reported.

Volodymyr Kudrytskyi also added that Skorokhod is a member of the temporary investigative commission on energy issues, which, according to him, 'attacked' 'unsuitable' state companies to Haluschenko and Mindycha and in every possible way 'did not notice' corruption in 'Energoatom' and the Ministry of Energy.

“Corrupt individuals who shield the figures in the Mindychgate — what could be a better advertisement? Only deserved, hard-earned suspicion,” he concluded.

Moreover, it became known about searches in the representative of the 'For the Future' party Hanna Skorokhod. NABU and SAP announced the exposure of a criminal group allegedly led by the deputy.

According to media reports, Skorokhod is suspected of receiving a significant bribe — it is alleged that it has been documented how she, along with accomplices, extorted $250,000 from an entrepreneur.

Hanna Skorokhod herself called the investigative actions 'direct pressure on the opposition and an attempt to block political activity.'

This case has become yet another high-profile corruption incident in Ukraine, which has sparked an active discussion about the government’s efforts in combating corruption schemes. The scandal could have significant consequences for Hanna Skorokhod's political career and the overall situation in the parliament, where issues of accountability of public officials are being discussed.
