Tusk Warns: Ukraine's Capitulation Threatens Poland's Independence

According to ТСН: Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk is troubled by the question of Poland's independence if Ukraine capitulates due to "bad decisions or inaction from Europe." He emphasized that the ongoing negotiations are extremely serious, as European leaders are involved in a "complex process" aimed at reaching an agreement. In this context, Belgium insists on receiving clear guarantees and safeguards. Tusk noted that politicians are trying to find a solution that suits all countries.

"I want everyone to finally realize this – not just our colleagues here in Europe, but everyone in Poland. When we talk about the need to support Ukraine through these Russian funds, it is because we know well that Ukrainian independence distances the risk of aggression or war from Poland's borders. Conversely, the collapse of Ukraine as a result of this war would mean a direct threat to Poland," Tusk emphasized.

Earlier, Tusk also expressed support for financing Ukraine, stating that its absence could lead to bloodshed in the country and Europe. He urged all European leaders to take on this responsibility.

Several other politicians, including Lithuanian President Gitanas Nauseda and German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, also support the idea of reparative loans. However, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who has close ties to the Kremlin, made a scandalous statement regarding frozen Russian assets, calling the idea of using them "foolish" and tantamount to "entering into war."

This situation underscores the importance of European unity in supporting Ukraine, as the consequences of the conflict may threaten not only the region but also the security of other European countries. All participants in international politics face a choice: will Europe be ready to continue supporting Ukraine to avoid similar threats in the future?
