Natalia Kobzar won the ninth 'gold' at the Paralympic Games.
Ukrainian athlete Natalia Kobzar significantly contributed to Ukraine's victory at the 2024 Paralympic Games, winning her first gold in an individual category. This was reported by the Ministry of Youth and Sports.
«Natalia Kobzar, in addition to the Paralympic silver, also won gold at these games. The Ukrainian athlete set a personal record and became the Paralympic champion in the 400 meters run (class T37). For Kobzar, this is her first individual 'gold' at the Paralympic Games», – the statement said.
Natalia Kobzar, who had earlier already won silver at these Paralympic Games, reached the top of the podium in a discipline that was very significant for her.
Recall that on September 2, the fifth competition day of the 2024 Paralympic Games, 61 sets of medals were contested in 14 sports. Ukrainian athletes earned eight awards. Thus, Ukraine took 10th place in the Paralympic medal standings.
It should also be noted that swimmer Mykhailo Serbin brought another gold to Ukraine at the 2024 Paralympics.
In addition, Ukrainian athlete Oksana Zubkovska won a gold medal for Ukraine at the Paralympic Games in Paris.
Recall that on August 30, swimmer Oleksandr Komarov won the 100m freestyle event in class S5 at the Paralympic Games.
