A newborn was taken away in Rivne: the mother kept the child in terrible conditions.
According to ТСН: The police of Rivne have launched a pre-trial investigation against a 27-year-old woman for improper performance of parental duties. Her newborn son, who lived in terrible unsanitary conditions, was urgently hospitalized.
On December 18, during monitoring of social networks, police discovered a post about how child services employees took the infant from the mother during a planned inspection. According to the information, the woman inadequately fulfilled parental duties, which endangered the life and health of the child. The living conditions were terrible, the police report stated.
According to law enforcement, the woman gave birth to her son about a week ago but consciously refused medical assistance and social support, as well as did not register the child.
The police immediately recorded this case in the Unified Register of Statements and Reports of Criminal Offenses. Juvenile officers urgently went to the woman's residence, but she, walking a fighting dog, did not let them into her home, the police reported.
The woman has long been under the supervision of law enforcement, has convictions for illegal drug trafficking, and was registered as a domestic abuser due to violence. In addition to the newborn boy, she has a three-year-old daughter who is currently living with relatives in the capital.
The infant is now under medical supervision at the Rivne Regional Clinical Hospital. His life is not in danger, the police noted.
Investigative actions under Article 166 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine are ongoing, and the woman faces restriction or deprivation of liberty for up to five years.
Also, juvenile prosecutors of the Dnipropetrovsk regional prosecutor's office have sent an indictment to the court against a couple that has committed serious crimes against their own child for years.
Earlier, a 22-year-old guy in Rivne region raped his own 3-year-old sister. For his crime, he will spend the next 5 years behind bars.
Meanwhile, near Kyiv, a 48-year-old man has been detained, who used social networks to produce and distribute child pornography.
This case has become a vivid example of the importance of the work of social services and the police in protecting children. The problem of domestic violence and improper performance of parental duties remains relevant, and law enforcement continues to monitor such situations to ensure the safety of the youngest members of society.
