Unjust pensions will become a thing of the past: Ukrainians promised a radical reform of the payment system.
Ukrainians explained how they want to reform the pension system
Ukrainian people's deputy Mykhailo Tsymbaliuk reported that pensions amounting to 2300-2500 hryvnias for three million Ukrainians are unfair and calls for the introduction of a new accumulation system.
The government proposes to reform the solidarity pension system by introducing a points system that will take into account work experience and salary when calculating pensions.
An accumulation system is also planned to be implemented, with initial funding provided by contributions from employers and employees.
Tsymbaliuk emphasizes the need to modernize the existing pension accumulation system and to transition to a different system to ensure a decent pension for all working people.
Additional payments for years of service for pensioners are planned for 2025.
