Tragedy in Dnipro
According to Espreso.tv: On June 2, a deliberate Russian attack targeted civilians in Dnipro, killing 16 people, among them children. Hospitals are currently treating more than 30 injured individuals. The bombardment destroyed nearly an entire city block, with reports indicating cluster munitions were used.
This assault was part of a large-scale missile and drone offensive across Ukraine, which also struck the Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Zaporizhzhia, Poltava, Sumy, Chernihiv, and Khmelnytskyi regions. By 4:11 PM local time, the death toll in Dnipro stood at 15, while six people had died in Kyiv.
Regional Situation
Local official Artem Khmelnikov confirmed that the situation in Dnipro over the past 24 hours has been extremely tense. He stated:
'Unfortunately, the enemy succeeded' - Artem Khmelnikov
emphasizing that the attacks aim to harm civilians. A relief center has been set up at the scene to assist victims, and a day of mourning has been declared in Dnipro.
This tragic incident underscores the ongoing targeting of civilians in Ukraine, raising serious international concern. The widespread missile and drone strikes affecting multiple regions highlight an escalation in the conflict and the urgent need for state and international organizations to act to ensure civilian safety.
