Odesa Region Under Fresh Drone Attack: Civilian Wounded, Homes and Church Damaged.
New Strikes on Odesa and the Black Sea: Casualties and Destruction Mount
According to Novyny.live: On the night of June 7, Russian forces launched a drone strike against the Odesa region. A 41-year-old man suffered shrapnel wounds in the attack. In the town of Chornomorsk, the targeted sites included residential buildings, a gas pipeline, a church, and several trucks. Emergency crews deployed 45 rescuers and 10 units of equipment to manage the aftermath.
Just a day earlier, on June 6, Russian forces struck two civilian vessels in the Black Sea. Both boats belonged to the Maritime Search and Rescue Service and were clearly marked with SAR (Search and Rescue) insignia. These incidents are part of an ongoing escalation in the region since the war began.
Notably, on May 5, a previous missile attack on the Odesa region left eight people wounded. These repeated strikes highlight the persistent danger to civilians and critical infrastructure in the area, fueling deep anxiety among local residents.
Rising Tensions in the Region
The attacks on Odesa and the Black Sea underscore the growing volatility in the region, where civilian assets are increasingly becoming targets of military operations. Beyond causing physical damage and injuries, these incidents heighten the sense of insecurity among people who now live under constant threat.
The situation in Odesa Oblast demands continued attention from international organizations and states to ensure the safety of civilians and maintain stability in the area.
