New Booking Rules Effective January 1: What Salaries Must Apply for Employees.
According to ТСН: As of January 1, new booking rules for employees of private and state companies will come into effect in Ukraine.
Changes for Private Companies
Lawyer Oleksandr Dubovyi noted that for private companies that are part of critical infrastructure, the employee's salary is determined based on the last calendar month. The minimum wage in the country must be multiplied by a factor of 2.5. For example, if the minimum wage in December is 8,000 Hryvnias, it must be at least 20,000 Hryvnias for the booking.
Rules for State Companies
As for state and municipal companies, under the new rules, the employee must receive at least the average salary in their region for the fourth quarter of the year. According to statements from the Ministry of Economy, this is the gross amount, including taxes and mandatory payments. Further significant changes to the procedures are not planned until 2026, according to the lawyer.
According to earlier announcements, critical companies can book their employees three times faster through the 'Dija' portal until February 1, 2026—the processing time for applications has been reduced to 24 hours.
These changes are expected to simplify the booking process for companies that perform important functions for the economy of the country. The introduction of new rules regarding salaries will ensure more stable conditions for employees in critical areas.
