Chinese Crossover Sets Guinness Record: 2327 km Without Charging.
According to Korrespondent.net: The Chinese company FAW announced that its new model, the Hongqi HS6 PHEV, set a world record by traveling the greatest distance without charging or refueling. According to CarNewsChina, the drive began on October 30 in Shangri-La and passed through Kunming, Baise, and Wuzhou, finishing in Guangzhou on November 3. The total distance of the record was 2327.343 km.
Pre-order and Car Specifications
Pre-orders for the Hongqi HS6 PHEV in China will begin on November 15. The car features a unique design with a closed grille reminiscent of a waterfall, along with 12 vertical chrome strips and the signature red Hongqi logo. The dimensions of the HS6 are: 4995×1960×1760 mm, with a wheelbase of 2920 mm, and a weight ranging from 2040 to 2285 kg.

Technical Specifications
The vehicle is equipped with a 1.5-liter turbo engine with 148 hp and a torque of 225 Nm. There's also an electric motor, the power of which has not yet been disclosed. The total power of the hybrid system is 225 or 495 hp depending on the configuration. The model can have either front or all-wheel drive and can reach a maximum speed of 205 km/h.
Batteries with capacities of 23.9 and 39.5 kWh provide an electric range from 152 to 250 km, and the total range is up to 1650 km in the CLTC cycle.
Interior and Cargo Capacity
The interior of the HS6 features an integrated panel with two screens—for the central console and passenger. There is also a digital instrument panel and a multifunction steering wheel. Additional options include a 50W wireless charger, a built-in refrigerator, 12 speakers, ventilated and heated seats with electronic adjustments, and a massage function for the passenger seat with 10 points.
The trunk volume is 503 liters, and with the rear seats folded down, it can be up to 1977 liters.
It is worth mentioning that it was previously reported that the new Volkswagen electric sedan would be developed based on the Chinese vehicle XPeng.
