Nubia unveiled foldable smartphones: Fold will cost only $1145.

According to Korrespondent.net: The company Nubia officially announced two new smartphones with flexible screens in the Japanese market: the foldable Nubia Flip3 and the book-style Nubia Fold.

Nubia Fold

Nubia Fold is equipped with an 8-inch internal flexible display with a resolution of 2480 × 2200 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The external screen has 6.5 inches diagonally with a resolution of 2748х1172 pixels and the same refresh rate of 120 Hz.

In the unfolded state, its dimensions are 144х160х5.4 mm, and the weight is 249 g. In the folded state, the thickness is 11.1 mm.

The smartphone features a triple main camera: a 50 MP main sensor, a 50 MP ultra-wide module, and a 5 MP macro camera. For selfies, there are two 20-megapixel cameras: one inside, and the other on the external screen.

The smartphone is powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite chip (last generation), along with 12 GB of RAM and 256 GB of internal storage.

The 6560 mAh battery supports fast charging at 55W. The body has protection against dust and splashes according to the IP54 standard.

The device runs on Android 15 and is available in black.

Nubia Flip3

Nubia Flip3 features a 4-inch AMOLED display on the outer surface and a 6.9-inch internal OLED screen with a resolution of 2790 × 1188 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Thanks to the large external panel, users can use the smartphone without unfolding it, as the interface supports basic functions and widgets.

Powering the device is the MediaTek Dimensity 7400X chipset combined with 6 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 15. The main camera has a 50-megapixel sensor and a 12 MP ultra-wide module, while the front camera is 32 MP.

The battery capacity is 4610 mAh, and fast charging is supported. The body also has protection according to the IP54 standard. In the unfolded state, its thickness is only 7.5 mm, and the weight is 187 g.

Nubia Fold is priced at $1145, which is significantly lower compared to most foldable smartphones. The price of Nubia Flip3 has not yet been revealed, but judging by the specifications, this model is likely to fall into the budget segment. Sales of both models will begin in Japan in mid-January 2026, but there is currently no information on a global launch.

It should be noted that earlier it was announced that Samsung presented a triple foldable smartphone TriFold, and in 2026, the iPhone Fold along with the iPhone 18 lineup is expected.

The new models from Nubia are expected to become serious competitors in the foldable smartphone market. With a variety of features and relatively affordable prices, they may attract the attention of both users and experts. The Japanese market will be the first to receive the new devices, but their further fate and popularity in the world remain uncertain.
