According to Mayor Artem Semenikhin, one man was injured and suffered acoustic trauma, but a larger tragedy was avoided. At the time of the strike, many civilians were visiting the facility.

The mayor emphasized that the hospital was hit intentionally, pointing out that city council staff were present on the hospital grounds when the attack occurred. 'I state that this was deliberate because city council employees were exactly at the hospital premises at that moment,' he added.
